FFS Packaging Systems Tailored to Most Different Requirements
At Powtech 2008, Windmöller & Hölscher (W&H) will be presenting
its completely revised current machinery program for FFS (Form, Fill
and Seal) applications, including four different machine
types for
varying output levels up to in excess of 2,200 sacks/hour. The lines
can reliably handle
free-flowing as well as dusty, heavy-flowing and
aerated products.
Where the requirement is for small or irregularly placed bagging orders,
the new RUBIN with an
output of 400 sacks/h is the ideal FFS packaging
system. Equipped with features and components
that have been field-proven
in several hundred W&H FFS machines world-wide, the RUBIN is an
economically priced and reliable bagging system excellently suited
for applications requiring low
level performance. It offers filling
plants the opportunity of shifting from manual to automatic bagging
processes.
The OPAL is a new W&H development specially designed for FFS
packaging applications involving
highly dusty and powdery as well as
non-free flowing products. A closed system, which is patent
pending,
ensures that the difficult to handle products, as are frequently used
in the chemical as well
as building material sector, are bagged in
a controlled manner keeping air inclusion in the product
to the very
minimum. Consequently, the OPAL is
capable of handling products so far excluded from
FFS technology.
Versatility, high performance capability, and reliability have made
the TOPAS, the third gem of the
range of FFS packaging machines offered
by the Lengerich machine manufacturer, one of the most successful bagging
systems available in the marketplace. Depending on the customer's requirements,
the peak model for allround bagging applications comes in two different
versions, i.e. one machine laid out for consumer products, featuring
a handle punch as well as edge sealing capability, and the other one
for the high speed bagging of standard plastic resins for industrial
applications, featuring an automatic roll change system to minimize
downtime.
The company's latest generation high-performance DIAMANT FFS system
features an all-new drive technology and a newly developed weighing
scale. Designed for high maximum bagging speeds and equipped with a
rotary filling section, the DIAMANT is ideal for consistent and continuous
operation,
as required in the petrochemical industry, for example.
Improved performance, operating convenience, and reliability when
weighing free-flowing products,
from powdery bulk goods to pellets,
mark the characteristics of the new W&H high-performance net weigher.
It is the ideal supplement to new FFS equipment and is also available
as a retrofit to upgrade existing bagging lines. When designing the
new weigher, high performance and consistently accurate filling weights
were given prime consideration. Product feed, weighing vessels and
weigher enclosure are made of stainless steel.
Windmöller & Hölscher is an internationally leading manufacturer
of machinery and equipment for the flexible packaging industry, the
product spectrum encompassing blown and cast film lines, flexographic
and gravure printing presses as well as finishing machines, multiwall
equipment, plastic sack, bag and carrier bag making machines, as well
as form-fill-seal (FFS) packaging systems and machinery for the conversion
of woven film. |
