New Developments
for Blown and Cast Film Lines
German based Windmöller & Hölscher (D-49525 Lengerich) will show visitors to
CHINAPLAS 2010 the latest developments for their VAREX, OPTIMEX and AQUAREX blown
film lines as well as FILMEX cast film lines. In China W&H is represented by Windmoeller & Hoelscher Asia (Hongkong) and Johs. Rieckermann (Hongkong, Shanghai and Beijing).
Film extrusion is the first step in the conversion process to the ready-for-use package. It’s performance plays a crucial role in determining the efficiency of subsequent conversion and
quality of the final product. Driven by these requirements, W&H has consistently pioneered higher standards in extrusion technology and today offers a comprehensive program of state-of-the-art blown and cast film extrusion lines, both for high-end and budget applications.
Windmöller & Hölscher offer their customers innovative solutions giving them the competitive
edge through better products and lower unit production cost. Recently, W&H introduced a range
of new products like OPTIMEX, the economically priced 3-layer alternative to the successful
VAREX blown film line, AQUAREX, a blown film line working on the upside-down wet extrusion principle featuring water quench cooling for the bubble for high output, high-transparency films, MDO, the stretching system for machine-direction film orientation to achieve high-performance films and OPTICOOL, the new air ring technology with outstanding cooling capacity. The
integration of a nano-layer feedblock into the FILMEX cast film line dramatically improves the prominent features of stretch film, like dart-drop, stretchability, and stretching speed. A special winder featuring automatic core feeding and finished roll handling system, produces film rolls suitable for hand and machine stretch wrap applications
